Nothing is more disappointing than spilling things on your beautiful rugs, especially things like red wine, cordials or other coloured beverages.
Did you know that the dye in red cordial and other food colourings is the same type of dye used to add colour to both wool and nylon fibres? Is it any wonder kids go nuts on red cordial. They are basically drinking sweet carpet dye. So if you spill these on your rug, you have now made a new colour on your rug. But don't worry, we have the solution.
We can de-colour the foriegn dyes and then re-apply the right colours to make the stains disappear for good.
See the gallery above to see this in progress.
Wool and nylon fibres are very absorbent and spills tend to soak in quite quickly. We can apply a fabric protection treatment to your rug to help you clean up spills and keep your rugs looking good for longer.
How does it work?
We use a treatment called Fluorochemical technology. It uses fluorine like the fluoride in toothpaste that helps prevent chemicals such as the acid in food from penetrating your teeth. Basically it makes the fibres less absorbent so that you can clean up spills before they get a chance to penetrate into the fibres.
Will it protect against everything?
It's not bullet proof. It basically buys you time to grab a cloth, tissue or paper towel and blot away the spill. It makes it harder for the spill to penetrate into the fibre making it easier to keep clean using the simple spot removal guide on this site.
